We were an interstate dealer and quit selling them. Lots of issues. That said, we’ve had some Issues with our Optimas too, but not the blue ones.
I have thre Optima 31’s and a 34DM. They’ve been great, it they are only two years old.
If I were buying new today, I’d go to Batteries+bulbs store and get their biggest 31 sized AGM. Probably significantly less expensive than Optimas and probably more capacity.

So far my duracells are doing good. They are only a year old, so the jury is still out. My last set if Interstates went 4 years.

Both of my trolling motor battery's from Walmart are stamped 3/15. Guess I'll stick with'em. Keeping them watered and charged makes a difference I think.

Anyone using the Duracell or DEKA A31DTM AGM’s group 31 for 36v trolling motor applications? I have used the DEKA A31DTM for my cranking battery with great success. I got 7 1/2 years out of my last one. Thinking about replacing wet cell grip 29’s with the 31AGM to eliminate the need to fill them. I have a really tight engine compartment.

I'd be interested to know when you stopped carrying the Interstate brand. Interstate has historically sold JCI made batteries. Optima is also a JCI brand since roughly 2000. There are many brands but few manufacturers. Brands change suppliers often, which is why I asked about the Interstate experience. Interstate doesn't make batteries, they sell their brand. Spec out your needs and buy from the retailer you trust to warranty when needed. Hard to judge batteries when a low end spec fits in the same "black box" as the higher end.

JCI, East Penn, and Exide are the big 3 manufacturers in US. Having spent over 20 years in the manufacture, distribution, and transportation of lead-acid batteries I am a bit biased towards one in particular. The retailer is more important than the "brand" on the box. Suppliers are often regional among the same brand or change often.
We praise the quality of $250 battery that last 6 years and hate the $80 battery brand that only last 3. Both manufactured by the same company. It's complicated.

Walmart has a 1000 ca battery for $59 one year warranty. Like the price but wonder if it's any count.
