Ok, so how long a shaft on an ultrex? 45 apears standard, mid legnth seems 52 and 60 seems RIDICULOUSLY LONG. Anybody have a 52? does it sit up much higher or get in the way more when stowed? This is going on a 21 foot boat

This is going on a 21 foot boat It was for me. I have a spare TM with 50" shaft and it was in my way in shallow water with a lot of different techniques so my new one went back to the 45". Mine is on a 18'6" bassboat. Set all of the way down in deep water in the middle of the lake does fine unless the wind is over 20mph. To each their own though everyone has their own opinion.

I have a Phoenix 921 pro xp, came with a 45in shaft. if I get in windy water it's hard to keep trolling motor in the water. I just changed to 52 in shaft this weekend. fish shallow, raised it up some and had no problem with it being in my way
