Was think about what historically produces better than average quality fish and in my opinion these are the Top 3 "traditional" baits that consistently produce better than average fish during the pre spawn.

Those are super strong too! I think its what each of us has had most success on so it will definitely vary from angler to angler.

James, do you mainly throw the lipless crankbait around grass? What if we fish lakes that dont have vegetation? Is it still as productive and how do you fish it in those instances?

Brent S the lipless works well around all types of vegetation however it works equally well around all bottom compositions. The bait is extremely versatile and really shines when fished in cooler (low 50�s) water. I would fish it either with the slow crank or a moderate lift and drop or pull in fall kind of tracing the bottom contour.

Very good video enjoyed it reinforced some of my thoughts. Did you put the swim bait on upside on purpose? I will install it with the tail down does it make a difference?

Good eye! Yes it seems to catch more water upside down and in my opinion has a more pronounced action. Give it try and tell me if you don't see the same thing.

Had the first two nailed including colors.. Like you said (myself included) the spinner bait has been left out the last few years.

Good stuff! Same 3 here. I've got double digits on all 3 on Fork.
But these days, I'll throw a Finch Nasty thumper instead of the spinnerbait.
