We dont use a net , depending on what size swing it in , a heavy one play it out or time it right to hand it , Seen a net knock one off before . If you want to net one its your option .

This. Nets get in the way before, during, and after catching a fish. If you fish A LOT, landing a fish without help of a net is half the fun. I can see it if you only get to fish 2-3 times a month and your PB is a 6 pounder. By all means, use what ya have to use.

Eat. Sleep. Fish.
