That is how far I have ridden my bike or ran since 11/6/2016.

Anyone that knows me knows I am not a runner. Well, happy final Sunday Runday!!!

I have run pretty religiously for the past 16 weeks training for a half-marathon. I have run at 23 degrees, in the rain and in 30mph wind gust.

Today was my last official training run before next weeks race. Honestly, I really did not expect to feel bad about it ending, but I do.

I have never on my life been a runner. When I started in August, I could barley run a 10-minute mile....and I hated running.

I started training November 6th 2018 for the Cowtown Half-Marathon. I used a canned training program through my Garmin that was based on basically running 5 days a week with two of those being speed workouts.

Training data is as follows:

Total Time = 5,356 minutes (89 hours)
Total Distance = 957 miles (cycling and running)
Running Distance = 340 miles
Avg. Speed = 6.5mph (running only)
Avg. Heart Rate = 144
Calories = 61,340 (17.53 lbs.)
Avg. Cadence = 174
Total Elev. Gain = 9,397 feet

My goal for the half is 2 hrs or just under...but secretly I want to be closer to 1:45:00.

At that pace you could ride from El Paso to Orange in about 84 hours.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

That's pretty cool. Waiting to hear your results/experience.

I can't run do to hip issues. But I did get 3600 miles in on the bike last year.
