ScottyP, Charlie and SPT got on the water at 1030 on ChampionFish's boat. We tried bass fishing shallow for quality stripers for 2.5 hrs both Texas side and OK side and nada. Side image showed good fish but the fridgit temp the day before may cause the lockjaws. So decided to go deadstick and we boated 16 healthy fish with 8 overs up to 5 lbs. The 15N wind helped. But the bites slowed when the wind died and then slowly reversed to weaker South wind. Most caught on flukes and a few on ARigs. We decided to try shallow again the last hr and Gene boated 2 overs on ARig. No working birds today.

It was a good day of fishing with good friends. Water temp 47f and DS catching depth 60 to 40fow with fish suspended at 30fow. Shallow depth were 10fow and shallower.

I'm pretty sure we followed in your boat bubbles all day with the exact same results.

Except we found them on a rocky point west of the 377 bridge, between the two marinas on the south bank, it's a pointy lil point with some exposed rocks and shallow exposed gravel, then drops to 20+
Fish were suspended an inactive and had to be coaxed into biting a DS in Pink Fluke, most of the time when the rod wasn't being held.
No Birds, except for the Lyin Terns.

Todd, thanks for the report.
I've just been waiting for the fishing to turn into catching so that I can make a drive from San Antonio to the big pond. If I don't come home with a bunch of meat, honey will ask if I really went fishing juggle

Fish jump in your boat with your catching skills Holzer grin Ping Gene or me before you go. The catching has been good this winter. Very few slow days due to dead calm winds. Or get the dog house ready just in case you need to sleep in it

Thanks for the west of 377 Intel DC! We didn't go past 377. Water less stained out west now? Best spot for us was oil well again. Searched far east and didn't see anything.

We tried fishing Big T yesterday, my first windy Texoma experience. By the time we crossed the lake the boat looked like a miniature version of Deadliest Catch. 1/2 inch of ice on everything!! Between the cold and only catching 7 fish it was to date my least enjoyable day fishing.

Keep the pics and fish stories coming!

No sir, I did see that boat too though. We were in a 24' Ranger. We saw 3 boats and everytime we did one of us would say look at these other idiots!

It wasn't near as muddy as we thought it was going to be. Once they get under the 377 and start hugging the south bank points, it's Easy Peasy.

It was a great day. I told some friends we had 8 rods out at the same time all on the same side of the boat deadsticking. No problem as we all caught fish. The wind is your friend on Texoma, as long as it blows the fish will bite. It it stops, so does the bite.
I am glad everyone was able to get out and catch some fish.
