I'm thankful for the rain, but it sure has made the Yegua Creek a very muddy and quite unfishable creek at the moment. I did manage to push through the brush yesterday morning and get into the creek. I choose to make a path rather than follow the creek path. Lot's of duck hunters out yesterday morning and only ran into one other fella in a canoe. Not a single bite at the usual spots, but the creek was flowing fast and high. I paddled further into the creek looking for some clearer water, but not a chance. Called it early and paddled myself back to shore against the horrid south winds that came around mid morning. I'm sure the creek will yield some great fishing this season, but we need it to clear up before the fish decide to cooperate.

That wind was pretty brutal yesterday! Never saw the sun as they predicted either!

Just one more cast!

. Yes the weather was not cooperating. I was hoping for some sun also but like you said never happened. There were more people at the boat ramp and most of them turned around and left because of the cold and wind.
