During this time frame each year, the City of Texas City will again charge a fee to get on the Texas City Dike. I assume it is still $5 Fri thru Sunday. This only applies to NON residents of Texas City. A resident of TC will have a special sticker affixed to his/her windshield to allow getting on the Dike for free. Some 4 day weekends apply. i.e. Holidays As you drive over the Levee, you will notice orange traffic markers and a small Checkpoint where fees are collected. Adhere to traffic signs as speed limit is enforced. Be aware of Danger signs, especially in swimming areas near the East end. The Dike is 5 1/4 miles long. Enjoy and Keep It Clean. BTW: There are NO bait camps on the Dike. You will notice 3 of them prior to driving over the Levee . Boyd's One Stop is the largest with all your neeeds. NO Alcohol beverages sold there. No glass containers allowed on the Dike. Remember to Take a Kid Fishing
