This time a year everyone get quiet about where their fishing as most of us are all fishing our favorite creeks and rivers. smile I do have a question though. Hardly anyone talks about the white bass run between granbury and pk. With that said will granbury whites literally run all the way up to pk or is there a stopping point. Pm me if you feel more comfortable talking there. Just would like an idea of where to put the boat in and give it a try. Thanks!

Good question. following, I would like to fish for some white bass during "the run" with my wife and two girls in this area. never really chased them on tin top. I've bass and crappie fished the area with success in the past. I would share crappie info on Leon for some white bass help on the river.

People talk about the sand bass running up the river. I always seem to be too early or too late. And once they get to Horseshoe bend, it's too shallow for me to trust running my bass boat up there. I've hit sand bars a few times. I've caught a few here and there in the river but never a limit.

Timing is everything isnt it? smile I just flat out enjoy being out there and away from the city. Don't get me wrong, I am there to catch fish... but there is something about being out on the river.

I love going out there and fishing... until it's warm and all the wake boats head out there. I usually put all the fish back. I might keep a couple, but usually 99.5% of them go back in the water. I'm just there for fun.

We never really have to chase sandies, we normally run across them striper fishing. Last time out we nailed some really big slabs, thought at first they were stripers. I hope they start up the creeks at PK pretty soon, when they do we can limit out in under an hour with two or three in the boat. Lots of fun for sure, time to bring out the kiddos.

Looks like this weekend it's going to be cold but a warming trend after that. I wonder how the Tin Top area will do in the coming weeks. I'm heading back to the lake next weekend and was looking for reports on stripers and sandbass

Tin top has changed. only thing unchanged is Mar'y have fished it at least once and usually 3 to 4 every year since late 80's skiers, wake boats and development with retaining walls has changed it forom the ramp both down and up stream. Sanchez creek has provided me with stripers at mouth and crappie and black up it.
But I will keep going there it is a enjoyable boat ride from the house, eagles beaver and bikinis(Im warm weather) keep me going back.

Between wake boats and everyone in parker co doing their yearly fishing for sandbass it’s just kind of crowded

Best fish I caught was the catfish basket at Marys.
