It's been a LONG time since I fished Fork. I have an old (1988) copy of the Lake Fork Photo Flip Chart. Is ANY of that old timber still standing above the surface?

Lots! Some still 15 tall, lots just above the surface and a ton(majority) just below the surface. Almost all still standing in one of those above phases.

I would say 10% of what was standing 15 yrs ago. The lake now "looks" to be open water to run. It makes guys like me even more dangerous because I "think" I know where I'm going.

Not sure if you are asking for running your boat or for fishing reasons. For boat running buying a trail chip can save hours of idling. Here is a link to some discussion about them Lake Fork - Boat Lanes or Guide Lanes ChipAnother thing I found was an app that has the creek names on it. I have not got to go and use the other features but being able to figure out which creek someone posted about is helpful. Lake Fork Texas Fishing app

Thanks, guys. I won't be doing much running on OR fishing in Fork's open water. I fish from an 8' pond boat. I as just curious.
