I know Gary Klein having worked with him for years when he had his lure business. He is a genuinely great person. He is one of the few people I've ever met that has never had a job besides professional angler. Zell Rowland is another one that comes to mind. Pretty impressive if you ask me. That is not an easy way to make a living. Some years you get on a roll and do well and some you struggle to get a check but he has been consistent enough to make a good living for more than 30 years doing what he loves with a fishing pole in his hand. How many can say they've done that?
We all have our likes & dislikes. While Gary may not be the most engaging to listen to, he possesses a wealth of knowledge and freely shares with anyone that asks. He is rather soft spoken. Hard to understand why someone would be bagging on him.

Any way you look at it, theres some amazing skill at play to land a bass that big on 6lb test line. I dont even go that light on my crappie gear.
