He talked [censored] about the small crowd that came out to watch the "weigh in" in Lufkin a couple of years ago during the Texas Fest. and then when MLF was taped on Lake Nacogdoches, he threw a rod in as if he were mad, when paused you could see that the rod had no reel, and I believe had a rod cushion on it so it would float... Nothing but someone trying to get attention if you ask me... I broke a Abu rod that was under warranty, they offered me an Ike rod as a possible replacement, I laughed at them and said I would NEVER own anything that had his name on it... His antics are for nothing other than attention due to his little man syndrome!

Just because some of us are Christians who believe in a higher standard of how we speak certainly doesn�t make us snowflakes. Personally, definitely not part of the everyone gets a trophy crowd. The point is, there are standards that should be held to those who are in high profile positions. You will never lose viewership by not cussing, but you most certainly will lose viewers by doing it.

Oh goodness, a grown adult with a great deal of pride and experience in his craft cursed while he was struggling in high level competition knowing full well how many people were watching him fail.

Those of you that carry binoculars with you at Lewisville while prefishing so it's easier to potlick shouldn't be talking about poor sportsmanship from Ike.

They is not a bass fisherman around that has not potlicked. You see somebody pull a large fish off a place and the next time you are out and no one is on that spot , you going to check it out . Guaranteed!!!!

I know quite a few of you fellows and I respect your opinions and you are absolutely entitled to them. However, I just have to say that I’m disappointed in some of your responses. I guess sometimes I expect too much. However, expecting a professional to behave in a professional manner should not be too much to ask. As some of you know I have a couple of young men that are virtually always with me. We try to do as much as we can together. We always fish together and when we can’t fish, we like to watch fishing shows together. I do my best to raise my kids to be respectful and to have good manners, morals and ethics. However, I certainly don’t coddle them and some would say that I’m too strict and that I expect too much from them at times. I do not pretend to be as pure as the wind driven snow, as I’m certainly not. I have absolutely no right to cast the first stone. So I will not. But allow me to pose a few questions. How long do you think JT Kenny, Marty Stone and the other commentators would have their jobs if they started flinging f-bombs on air? Would you want to sit down with your whole family and watch the show? Do you think if they continue to allow the repeated explicit language it will affect their viewership numbers, and if so why? I’m not pleased with the moral decline that’s happening in our twisted world and would just like to enjoy watching these MLF events without having to be on point with the mute button. I have lots and lots of friends and love them all. I have a few friends that cuss like sailors, but out of respect they do not get explicit around my wife or kids. That’s what you call respect! I'm sorry Brian. I really do try hard not to cuss around your family, but sometimes, one slips.

MLF is evolving and I'm sure they don't want a bunch of profanity in their shows. I'll bet they get better at editing/bleeping those few times it happens. As for IKE being denied a postgame interview because of his behavior and F bombs, not true. From what I've heard IKE left and never had a chance to be interviewed. He's a sore loser and has done so many times, previously.

He is a disgrace to fishing, I wouldn't get in the boat with him and cannot believe people follow him around just to hear him yell every time he catches a fish or something doesn't go his way.

There are lots of people with big egos, passionate, extroverts, etc but he is just a big jerk who is full of himself, IMHO.

... but he's not at a job interview, and there's a lot worse things for kids to see, on any reality tv show. Granted, he shows/ tells all of his emotions, real, and in time, but I know a bunch of guys that get "wound-up", during competition. He is a great guy to talk to, off the water, and he does a lot of work with kids.
