Myself,Rick (Catyakker) and Steve fished the last scheduled trout stocking on the Blanco River. We fished from 10am till 12:30p and caught about 40 fish. 15 were kept for the dinner table. We had several fish in the 13 and 14 inch range. All fish were caught on the Gold Super Duper Lure. Just about everyone at the stocking was catching fish. A great Rainbow Trout fishing trip with two good friends. It just don't get any better!

Wow, what a fishing trip. Trout on about ever other or third cast. Friendly folks whom Banker knew just about everyone there. One fella even saved us Banker's favorite spot. That gentleman had his travel trailer there and knew Chuck would be looking to fish that area. You just can't beat having friendly fellow fisherman like that.

How would you rate the Blanco this stocking season?

Thanks Curtis for the reply! I would give the Blanco River Stockings a solid A plus. One of the few places where you can still catch a Rainbow Trout!

Thanks Chuck. I did not fish the Blanco that much during the stocking season but the times that I did, I caught plenty of fish.

You still have a good chance of getting a trout today on the Blanco. After this month what's left will die off.
