I know there are quite a few shell beds at Fork but my question is do any of the DFW area lakes have them?

Most likely.
Watch for the white shells on shoreline where they've washed up, then use side-image to search deeper water out from them. Also just watch for hard-returns on SI when going across points and humps. Use a Carolina-rig to explore those spots.

Yes
Check for south facing points with a steeper drop off to one side. The south wind/current we get here most of the year will deposit them on these south facing points and they will fall off onto the deeper side

I can vouch for Lake Worth and Grapevine both having shell beds. Found 2 on Worth and 1 on Grapevine.
