Anybody own new Colorado and pull a boat? Just curious how it does on boat ramp.

A little more info would be helpful. What size boat and what drive train are you referring to in the Colorado. A lot of variables here.

My 2018 GMC Canyon pulls my 17 ft Boston Whaler Montauk like a champ. I also pull a 2018 R-Pod travel trailer with the Canyon. The travel trailer weighs about 3300 pounds and the truck handles that well also. Just make sure you get the V-6 in the Colorado! Great trucks!

I owned a 2017 coloroda lt model I have a 18ft ranger bass boat. I ended up trading in for a full size Silverado crew cab. Had plenty of power pulling down road and out of ramps. Only negative was it pushed when stopping and long term I didn�t feel comfortable with this

I pulled my Ranger 375V with 2 different Tacomas. One was a 2wd and one a 4wd. Never had a single problem in 8 years. I even pulled my current boat from Lafayette to Dallas. 75 mph all the way back was no problem. I bought the Tundra more for the gas tank than power. With the Tacoma and the 21 gallon tank I would have to stop for gas too often when towing the CC. I saw a Colorado with a personal plate on 30 yesterday morning. The plate read "BAD MOJO". My thought was the bad mojo started the day you bought that truck.

Given the price of light duty trucks, I'm not sure why anybody is willing to take such a big downgrade in performance and space for such a small discount in price. I think it made sense when a full size truck was $20k and a light duty was $10k in the 90s, but I don't get the attraction at all now when a light duty truck is $25k-$30k and a full size is like $32k for equivalently equipped.

I drove an 05 Colorado for 256,000 miles. I pulled a dog trailer all over West Texas with the truck loaded down with gear and pulled my 18' Ranger Bass boat with no issue but I did go through 2 Transmissions. I had the Inline 5 Cylinder.

It comes down to what you are using it for. A Tacoma or a Colorado will pull a 18-20' bass boat just fine. I owned full size trucks most of my life until I bought a 2004 Sporttrac. I also had a F150 so I did not tow an lot with the smaller truck. I can tell you that I miss my Tacomas at the deer lease and running the nasty dirt roads up in Fannin county. When off roading it is hard to beat a Tacoma's maneuverability. Same with driving around town. Now if you are a big bubba then don't even bother with a small truck. There are some people that just do not need a bigger truck.
