Hey guys just got a job boat a couple weeks ago and got a trolling motor and a fish finder. Do you think it’s ok to hook both up to the same battery that I use for the trolling motor? Its only a 30 lb thrust trolling motor. Also what battery do you guys recommend?

Hook up electronics to the engine cranking battery not the trolling motor battery. A 12 volt trolling motor will pull a lot of amps so look for a deep cycle battery with 160-200 reserve capacity.
