So I've had the nav. app on my phone for a while and I just bought a new card for my sonar. My question is how can I transfer all my way points from the app on my phone to my card? Also is there a way I can insert my card into my computer and make new waypoints and see the previous made waypoints from my desktop computer and save them to the Nav. card and then just put the card back into my sonar? I hope that make sense!!

Kyle we do very similar work from the computer overlaying files through different programs to Google Earth to get our WayPoints. It is programmed to a GPX file downloaded to a chip that is then taken out to the boat's depth finder and Imported to the units. You are welcome to Email me your question above with the information and I will forward it to my Computer Tech. to see if he can help you with that.

There are some youtube videos on just this topic. I looked into this several years back and it was a very complicated process (on a humminbird graph). You had to download some free software to convert the file to a different type (at least with humminbird). I ended up just going to the locations using my phone and marking them to the graph while on the water.

You would think these companies would have some viable waypoint management software available for their units, but they don't. Programs like humminbird pc are a joke and often complicate things rather than help. This area is a real weakness for the depth finder industry and it doesn't make any sense. Waypoint mgmt software should be super easy for these guys to build.

Really it shouldn't be that hard just pop the card into cpu log on to the webapp where it shows all your way points you have already made and click to add new ones.

I worked with Donald on mapping lakes and his tech guy translated his strategies onto a chip which was easy to import into my Lowrance units. Now what I do to add routes is bring the units into the house and use a power supply to power the units up. I then use my laptop with Google Map and find places I want to fish and create the route on my fishfinders. Works great!

I have the app on my iPad that I use quite a bit. Unfortunately I don’t have the HDS12.

You might want to reach out to Humminbird support and see if they can help with whatever issue you're having. I think HumminbirdPC is one of the best programs on my computer. Apart from the functionality, it just consistently works, unlike a bunch of other software.
