Whats the best way to mount a transducer on a 2018 Terrova Riptide? Someone suggested a mount from Cornfield Crappie. Are there better options? Will it work on the Riptide (saltwater version)? Thanks

Lowrance. The problem isnt the transducer, its the cable. If you run the cable along the shaft it interferes with the lift assist on the newer Terrovas.

Do the Riptides have a groove going the full length of the shaft , that is for transducer cables although lowrance cables maybe too thick but not completely sure

Yes there are. that is really a 360 mount not a normal tranducer mount. It would work but those mounts have issues with the base coming loose so it isn't worth the hassle for just a normal transducer. Look at Precision Sonar, they have a mount that keeps the cable away. Probably the best way that I have seen. there are also DIY mounts you can find on youtube. I took a section of coiled airline hose and the cable is taped to that hose and the other end is connected on my bow. It keeps the cable away from the motor. I'll be making my own similar to Precision Sonar soon and go that style.

Thanks. Ive seen several posts online saying the Precision Sonar mount is made by Cornfield Crappie. Not sure if they are exactly the same. I dont really like the messy look, but dont want to run a separate pole off the bow for a transducer either.

It could be made by them I know they are on different websites. That style is pretty clean and theres nothing really to have to adjust once you get it set up. It seems to be a good design

Bruce, if SAdoc doesn't buy yours, let me know and I'd be interested in it.

If you want to mount a Garmin LiveScope transducer, I would suggest putting it one a separate pole so it remains pointed at the structure and am partial to the LiftSaver Transducer Pole Mount. You could also mount any other transducers and even multiple ones. I make the LiftSaver Transducer Pole and have sold many of them with 100% positive feedback. Take a look at these videos. Visit my website at www.liftsavertmmount.com or send me a PM if I can help you out.
