Looks like the back of the new stove is inset by about 2 inches from where the sides stop. That might give you the clearance needed. Turn gas off at the valve and try it just to see

My current house is our first all electric one. The Boss keeps saying if we move, the next will have have a gas stove. Nope. I enjoy how easy it is to clean our flat top electric one.
He is truly a sick individual.

Got 'er up and running today with the expertise of our very own TFFer "plumbcrazy" (Schlegel plumbing out of Plano). It was done in a short time and quality work. Nice to meet Allen, a fellow TFF guy as well. Very cool. Give him a call if you need some professional plumbing work done. I just told the Mrs. to get busy and get me some dinner going.

Nice job Bob I wonder if mud ever got his stove squeezed into the cabinet? Good question! I was lucky in that the space was already wide enough for the new one.

The stove was damaged in transit and the store from where they ordered said stove ordered the wrong stove. Damaged wrong stove = back to square 1
