Stayed in a log home in Hochatown, by the Grateful Dead Pizza place two years ago. Rented a 4 bedroom place. All except 1 bedroom occupant got bed bug bites. Cant remember the name of the cabin. Cabin was nice except for the bugs.

Fish for smallmouth and largemouth on the lake. Take a canoe or yak and tool around the river or the lake. Drive up Hwy 259 north for scenery. My favorite place to eat is Abendigos. Girls Gone Wine is nice for the womins.

Hochatown is the center of the area. There are cabins close to the eating places there....cabins several miles north and then more cabins near the state park river. Depending on what you are there for...is where I would choose my cabin. Riding 4 wheelers...north of Hochatown is idea...many of those cabins back up the forestry land. I like staying near the state park river so I don't have to drive 20 + mins to fly fish each morning.
same here on staying close to river. I go to trout fish. Avoid spring breaks. I like the cabins about halfway between 259 and river off 259A. I believe the area I called Southern Hills. Stayed in a couple different ones. First one the hot tub did not work. Stayed in park cabins on river once in December. They are a little primitive. No TV and our heater did not work. Lady at office was real nice and loaded us up with free wood for stove.

I don't go in the warmer months....just when it's cold and less crowded.

Between Spring Break and October(Fall Break).....it's packed.

Another reason why I like my tent and my camper. If I get bugs, they are mine.

THIS IS SAME WITH US ^^^^

We've been in a different one every time and all we great.
there are several sites that list them from one bedroom to lodges, depending on how many folks you are taking.
Must eat at Grateful Head pizza....great food and some great choices cold taps
There is also a little winery there for the ladies that my wife and her friends always hit up called Girls Gone Wine
