 Lowrance 18.3 software update

Which app do I need to be able to view the file? For some reason not able to view it.

There is nothing to see so no app. You download the update on a msd card and upload in youre unit

You need to go to files and then chose memory card right or left which ever slot you put it in.
You should then see the update. Click on it and you should get an option,make sure you check the box on right side then chose upgrade.
Those steps are close but should get you headed in the right direction.

Which app do I need to be able to view the file? For some reason not able to view it. Lowrance has a YouTube video on the steps to download and install the update. My only issue was getting our home PC to do what I wanted it to do. Once the info was on a microSD, the graphs did all the rest. I simply Turned on the unit, inserted the card, turned the unit off, then back on and the graph started updating. When it finished updating, it rebooted and was ready.

Ok thanks. What will this software update allow you to do that you couldn't do before? What is different about it?

The biggest change that I liked was a direct soft touch icon for down scan and the ability to adjust split screen sizes. There is a lot more to it than that, though. I just havent really used them much since Saturday. I did notice a slight interference on side scan that wasnt there before the update.
