If I'm retiring single Rayburn or Toledo... If I'm married Fork, Richland Chambers or Cedar Creek. The wife will want to be within hour of the big city amenities and wife will want place where she can enjoy swimming in the lake. I'm gonna guess single Jake...….. I can tell how much you love to fish

If you were going to retire to a lake in Texas, which one would you chose? I always wanted to retire on Lake Fork. When it got time to pull the trigger I spent a little time up there and thought about what my wife could do. The best I could come up with was all you can eat catfish on Friday nights and shopping trips to Quitman or Emory. So I decide on Lake Tyler instead. But the fishing is so so on Lake Tyler. Perhaps I should have picked Palestine.

Caddo is our home. It’s the biggest little lake in Texas.

Hard to beat Sandlin for all round fishability in any wind. But Rayburn is truly a REAL lake !!

Retire at Squaw with 361v. Hey, hey hey! This is how rumors get started. IF I was to retire it would be in our big new barndominium we are building right now that overlooks Wheeler Branch. Who dis?

I'm not retired, but the view from my office is pretty nice.
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach
