What�s the best A-rig (3 or 5 wire) set up for small shallow water ponds in the winter time. Need help with which rig brand, spinner blades or not, weight, and which plastics...3, 4, or 5 inch etc.

This is a great compact version. Works very well around cover. I always throw 5 wire with blades (4 or 8). 1/8oz is an overall good jighead weight for most applications allowing you to work the rig at various depths.

If you want to step up the size of the rig from that compact version, Picasso also makes another model that is a bit smaller profile than a full size a-rig. If you want a full size profile, go with the Hog Farmer bladed.

Bait-wise, I typically throw 3.8� - 4.3� and occasionally step up to 5�. It�s also good to differentiate your middle bait from the other 4 baits; use larger size, different color, chartreuse dip the tail, etc...

I would go with the flash mob JR. The blades will help it keep the lift so it won't sink too deep I wouldn't use anything heavier than 1/8 oz heads. Rig it with Gene Larew sweet swimmers

I suggest swapping out the clips on the flash mob. I've straightened out some on big fish. I usually just replace with split rings

Good info..I got one the other day, Watched a vid from the guys at tactical bassin, they said to get rid of the clips as well...Dangit!! Lol..Ive got a place on the sewer i sense might give to the Arig
