Came out of the Blue River this morning.

Nice sized trout, multi species trout. Did a little research and based on the body coloration and pink fins it is a golden rainbow (not same as a golden trout), probably from a hatchery in Missouri. A rainbow with selectively bred coloration.

A rainbow with selectively bred coloration. I always just called them the Palominos. That load with big ones yesterday was from Crystal Lake Fisheries in MO. Before long they will put another load of good sized fish with the addition of 5lb-7lb fish for the Trout Derby

Rainbow trout bred to lack pigmentation. Often used as a 'counter' for hatcheries. Nice sized fish.

Never mind. I found it in Oklahoma. All stockers. I thought those trout looked like hatchery fish. Jgc57 nice palamino congrats. Doc plenty of wild fish in ok on the lmfr. Numbers have been hurt from the floods but they are there.
