The lake is 4 high and rising. Water clarity is not bad on the
South end. The bite was slow this afternoon.

Plenty of boats. Most I talk to said it was slow. A few did get them to bite.

Yes it was consistent. I found 4 in 4hrs. I noticed that they wern't releasing water at the spillway. Any thoughts on that?

Yes, they are holding it back because Caddo Lake is above flood stage. Little Cypress Creek and Black Cypress also feed into Caddo so as soon as they quit dumping and the water drops a little I am sure they will open the gates. For those who have been to Big Pines Lodge Restaurant water was flowing through their parking lot

Oldrabbit thanks for the info. How do you think that will affect spillway fishing? I heard the were killing it when the water was flowing.

Think out of the Box, the lower end of the lake is not fishing like year pass.
Lake leavel 234.49 that +5.99
water temp 50.9 to 52.2
Gate open one day and then close.

Rented a house on LOP over the weekend. 7 of us fished Friday Sat and Sun. Caught just enough for a fish fry and a couple of take home bags of filets. Fishing was really tough. You can see the fish but the seem to have lockjaw. The fish we did catch were pretty good size. When we did get them to bite it was in 29 to 30 foot of water on the edges where it dropped from 24 to 30. Caught most of them on bottom.
