Any recent info on Placid?
Flow rate below the dam is HIGH! Would Placid be more.....wait for it.....placid than Dunlap?
Want to go catch some Wed and Fri!

Current will not be all that bad on Placid compared to Dunlap. Placid can be a difficult lake to fish this time of year. Fish are sometimes very hard to find.

I have fished Placid about a month ago. It was fair! Out of all the places I fish for sunfish, Placid is the toughest. I have had way more bad days on that lake than good days! Like Banker has already stated. It can be a difficult lake to fish especially this time of year.

I was on Placid last week. The current was fairly strong. Not flood stage ripping, but still moving real good.

Out of the three major river lakes on the Guadalupe River,Placid is the most difficult for me. It has been awhile since I have fished it.
