Trying to get out for a bit on Saturday, brave the weather, but I don't want to waste my time and freeze if the lake is in poor condition. Anybody know what condition Cypress is in? Thanks.

Headed out tomorrow afternoon and will get on the lake Thursday morning. Has been 10 days since I was there and it +2 1/2 feet then, down to and little over a foot high now. Two weeks ago it was very tough, wish I could tell you where they were.

Haven't made a cast in awhile, but if the water looks horrible, I'll be extra miserable, hahahaha.

Grass will never come back. The grass carp are still alive and eat any grass they find

Won't know until tomorrow but I would expect the water to have cleared up.

Cypress lake WAS closed, what I was told, due to high water level. It MAY be open now.

Fished it today, Thursday. Water temps 50-55. Water is pretty clear except in shallow areas subject to the wind. Caught 3 keepers, 2-10, 2-12 an 3-2. They were all resident fish in 2 to 4:feet. I could not get on them in deeper water anywhere, sorry. I am going out again tomorrow morning.

I appreciate that, man.... I was torn between the two and heard that Monti wasn't any good right now either. Have you happened to fish it recently? Thanks again, man.

Real Texas,if you can fish during the week then Welsh is your best bet. Cypress and Monticello both would be tough right now.
