Heading to Texoma on Wednesday. Never fished Tex and never fished for smallies. Can you fish aggressively in the winter for smallies or do you need to slow down for them like you do for LMB? Aside from the typical "let them tell you"...I'm just looking for their general demeanor this time of year so I'm not throwing too heavy a jig or having too much action on it or a jerk bait...you know what I'm getting at. Thanks fellas.
If you can't find em wind em.

You cant fish a crank bait fast enough for them on 40 degree water. They are 100 mph cold or not

My one smallmouth from Texoma came from a finesse worm drop shortted in 25 on the south end of the lake. I was put right before Christmas and didnt mark any fish in less than 15 so either I missed them fishing slow or should have been burning cranks more shallow.
