Horrible way to die, eaten alive. Can't even imagine.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

My dad was on the Indianapolis, He never talked of it and died when I was 16 in 1976.

All I ever heard about it was from my uncle (his brother). Had a tattoo that said god bless the men of the Indianapolis.

Just watched this show. The interviews with those survivors were absolutely haunting. Very well done show.

Agreed. I watched it too and was one of the best Doc's I've seen. Searching for the ship wasn't near as interesting as the interviews with the survivors. The horror of living through that is unbelievable. In no way could I see them blaming the Captain for being torpedoed. Who ever was responsible for them not having an escort should have been court martialed.

For sure.

I was shocked to learn about the hate mail that the Capt. received over the years... annual Christmas cards blaming him for the death of loved ones, etc.
