A friend has a small pond (maybe 3/4 acre) and it has catfish but they don't seem to grow much. How would you experts recommend strengthening his catfish population?

Feeder?
Brining in several hundred small sunfish?
???

On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?

The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Catfish growth is related to how much they eat/availability, so my 2 pennies would be to add a feeder. Get a good quality feed, let them eat what they can in 15 min., stock some bluegill (do well on feed--1 pound plus BG), and then enjoy the fishery.
Key thing would be harvesting your catfish to allow for size and population density, so the pond can carry larger fish--keep record of # of fish harvested for later restocking also.

Catfish are a great fish to get new anglers involved and normally considered a put n take species in small ponds.

I think you could develop an excellent catfish pond if done thoughtfully.
