I was bummed that I waited to long back at Christmas to buy tickets and missed this movie. They’ve decidedly to do one more showing on MLK Day (Jan 21st). Already snagged my tickets. Heard it was a great movie and looking forward to finally seeing for myself. https://www.fathomevents.com/events/they-shall-not-grow-old

I took most of the family to see it Dec. 27th. Out of the 6 of us only the 18 year old granddaughter didn't think it was great. She thought it was gross because it shows the real pictures taken in the trenches and fields during the war. Lots of dead bodies, both humans and animals. If you are going expecting to see Americans or footage of Americans battles then you will be disappointed. It is all about the Brits and French fighting the Germans. My Grandfather fought in WW1 so I thought it told a story of how bad the conditions were, how horrible the fighting was, all the loss of life and limbs.
It is not a movie/documentary for young children but it tells a real story about what the people at the time thought was a war to end all wars.
