I, too, live close to Benbrook and fish all the time. Blacks and LMB are still doing fine. Caught crappie in the trees. You can get. up into BearCreek right now and the fishing, let alone the scenario, is pretty good. Keep an eye out for the bald eagles. There is a breeding pair up the creek. Richardson slew is a great place to troll crank bait. If caught a lot of fish throwing spinners at the dam as well.

i was able to catch some hybrids out of that lake last year... all too small they are still growing in that lake., TPWD are still trying to revive that lake.
