Strong currents, windy, and cold made it a tough day on Mcqueeney. Fished from a kayak for three hours and caught three fish. Two nice Crappie and one nice Bluegill. Located a nice brush pile in 16 feet of water that had a nice bunch of fish on it. They were Crappie and but only got two of them to bite. Crappie were caught on a jig that was Chartreuse/Red in color. The Bluegill was caught on the same jig by a dock in 12 feet of water. All fish were released. Will be fishing again tomorrow. woot

Fished Dunlap yesterday and did not do good. The current was also strong. River flow from Canyon lake was up around 800 CFS. This latest and current rainfall will have the river flow running fast for a while. eeks

Guys....These are the conditions that make us appreciate all the good days we have for most of the year. Thanks for the report Laker...you really need to consider changing your handle to "Die Hard" laugh

Totally Agree with you Vogey. I have fished in plenty of bad conditions over the years. Do not know about "Die Hard" maybe "Stupid" would be more the name. Strong winds and strong currents equal accidents. I have been lucky. I keep telling myself only to fish in safe conditions. Learned something good for the new year. woot

Nice post LO. When I was younger I fished plenty of times under some bad conditions. The older you get the wiser you get also. Age plays a huge part on your fishing habits. Looking forward to more of your reports in 2019. Happy New Year.
