Well, I was thinking of taking my daughter fishing and going to Squaw this Thurs. for the first time. After reading these posts I'm re-thinking about heading to a cold water lake. Any suggestions? Thinking Ray Bob, Sandlin or Cedar Creek.

It's a great place to take a kid fishing, they will get bit and that's all a kid likes normally.

Why is a game warden on a private lake?

Because he can.

To enforce game and boating laws. The park is private, as well as the buoyed off sections, but the lake is still policed by Texas Parks and Wildlife.

You were told right. Simple stuff. TPWD manages the fishing on the lake. Stocking, limits....and tickets too. Its not a power thing(because they can). They manage the fishing. Its their job.

Seriously I totally appreciate it, you should have hung out at the ramp to see the show of me trying to load the boat on the trailer...
