Well, I was thinking of taking my daughter fishing and going to Squaw this Thurs. for the first time. After reading these posts I'm re-thinking about heading to a cold water lake. Any suggestions? Thinking Ray Bob, Sandlin or Cedar Creek.

Thinking Ray Bob, Sandlin or Cedar Creek. It's a great place to take a kid fishing, they will get bit and that's all a kid likes normally.

. The Game Warden is putting his boat in the water too at this time, nice guy, I ask if I can help him out by parking his truck so he doesn't have to do it himself (plus I checked to see if his headlights were on). He handles it all himself, show him my license and ask if he wants to inspect the boat before he starts his day. He was very appreciative. He parks his truck and starts checking everyones licenses and everyone was very courteous. I wish him luck and to watch out for the group that calls themselves the Texas Fishing Forum.
Why is a game warden on a private lake?

Why is a game warden on a private lake? Because he can.

Why is a game warden on a private lake? To enforce game and boating laws. The park is private, as well as the buoyed off sections, but the lake is still policed by Texas Parks and Wildlife. ^^^^^this is what I was told, anyways^^^^^

TPWD manages the fishing on the lake. Stocking, limits....and tickets too. Its not a power thing(because they can). They manage the fishing. Its their job.
