Considering going to Welsh this week for the very first time. Will she muddy up with this rain we are currently getting?

Not really that lake rarely seems to get off colored. Just make sure you take it easy running especially when you get around the power lines. Also when you turn left out of the ramp you can only run a short ways until you start seeing flooded timber. You will see some people run on pad back there, but I wouldn't trust most of them. Do a search on here there have been allot of threads about running the lake with some maps to help ya

Just make sure you are legal on everything boat wise and have your license, the GW has checked us the last 3 times we have been there. Fishing was a little off on Saturday between front but we still caught fish.

We caught fish out there Monday with several really nice ones mixed in. It was a little slow after the morning bite until we figured out a better way to get a bite. Consider leaving the bank to the rest of the folks... I did see a few guys sight fishing and saw one caught way up shallow. Most of the fish we caught were fat and ready with one skinny spawned out female mixed in. Water was mostly gin clear and with all the grass, I doubt that changes much.

See you on the lake and have a great day!
