I had a "cheapo" fly rod combo over 30 years ago. Never got good at it or pursued the sport much. After some time went back to bass fishing.
Well, got a new "cheapo" rod combo for Christmas and going to try to learn it again. It's got a few flies included with it.
Ought to be interesting.

Ive cast the one Amazon sells, Wild water 5/6 weight. I thought it was A okay.
My first fly rod was a combination bought off STP. Rod was nice, reel was strictly a freshwater reel, and the fly line complete junk. Line is easy enough to replace.
