Was told by a guy at the ramp on Sat that they had just turned it back on Thursday after repairs. The lake is high and fairly stained compared to usual.

This time of year you can catch bass there until you get tired of taking them of the hook!!!!

I was there last Sunday. Water was 70 at the outlet at 9am and up to 77 by 2:30. Apparently it had been shut down for a while. There were tons of Tilapia that appeared to have been up on beds and had died from the cold water. Fishing was horrible. I spoke with 4 other boats that said they hadn't had a bite all day, I got one bite and that was it. It should be much better this weekend now that the water temp has come up, I bet those fish thought we had entered an ice age and were scared to death.

Went yesterday and steam was coming out of the stack but the water temp was 50 degrees. Fishing was bad. Only saw one fish caught.

I bet the water was really clear. Clear water lakes are harder to fish I think. Don't understand the water temp though, Welsh was 62-68.

Was there yesterday and had water temps from 62 to 66 most places in the ramp area and as high as 75 at discharge. Me and the wife fished from 8 to 4 first time on the lake and had 10 fish and she lost a real good fish. Wasn't as good as Welsh on Thursday but was way better than Martin Creek Friday.

Planning to go with some friends on the weekend of the 12-13th will be in the kayaks. Was the water clairty decent? Sounds like the temps are back up anyways. We will be about 2.5 hous away so just making sure the trip will be worth the time. Welsh is usually crowded this time of year with the boat tournaments. Hoping Sunday the 13th wont be to bad.

Sorry didn't notice I forgot the 5 before feet...LOL was in a hurry before work. First time we ever fished the lake so don't have anything to compare to but I would call it clear. You could see the stumps and grass easy.
