1962 Richline 16� V-hull with an Evinrude 25 I�ve been working on.

Tore out the small deck someone had installed, the wood seat tops, transom wood, and the angle braces from the sides. Riveted in aluminum angle iron along the seat tops and custom made side brackets.

Rear deck is on 2x4s on face and the front deck is 2x4s on edge for more depth underneath.

Be sure to have the plug in and some paddles on board for the maiden voyage just in case.

Paddles came in handy on my boat's maiden voyage--accidentally pulled out the kill switch when I went to prime the engine and forgot there was a separate safety cut off switch on the trolling motor.

I am very interested in the performance test, especially weight placement of the live well and battery. Also the stability of the front deck.

Well the maiden voyage didn�t go well. First, the motor wouldn�t start. No spark. Nothin nada zip. Since I had a buddy from out of town with me we went ahead and fished using the trolling motor. It ran fine but didn�t get even one bite!

This week I took a look at it. Cleaned all the connections on the starter relay and it fired right up!

So the next maiden voyage (can I still call it that?) was after work today and it ran good. I didn�t stay out long or go far but I have confidence in it now.

Alumacraft, the front deck seems to be pretty decent stability wise. It is a Vhull so it does rock but I think it�ll be alright. The livewell was empty so I don�t know what difference that might make.

I�m gonna paint the motor this spring gar1970 as well as acid clean and shine the outside and repaint the trailer. Anyone know the original color scheme for a 1983 �rude?

I do see some issues but I�ll address them in a new thread.
