First time posting but I'm struggling to bank fish.
The lakes I been fishing is Inks, Buchanan, Granger, Belton, and Stillhouse. (One case, the colorado on south east of Austin)
The fall season really threw me off with the water levels being so high. My best fishing nights of 6+ hours with my friend and wife only netted us 4-6 eating size channels and rarely blues. (Mostly at Inks)
A lot of days with the other lakes end up as being skunked.
I use several baits on a 3/0 or 5/0 hook. (Liver, cut panfish, large minnows, and worms). I also run into a lot of drum with worms and minnows.
Don't really see a lot of belton/stillhouse topics. Any advice would really help.
(Also I could use more fishing buddies, I fish for generally every species)

Sounds like you have used a wide range of options. Might need to focus on precise locations. Catfish like to hang out in slower moving water waiting on stuff to float down stream.

I fish the Colorado at times on some property we have near Bastrop. I don't know how for you are from Bastrop but the fishing has been pretty good lately on the rising river. This time of year I am really fishing mostly for GasperGoo for cut bait.

actually I've found the best fishing in lakes to be when the wind is blowing and has been blowing for awhile in the same direction.. Always fish the wind blown bank... good luck

That is true for lakes. My advice was more for rivers and streams.

As big as travis is you would think it would be a good catfish lake. I live close to it but never fished it. I've been told that to catch big cats on travis go to the narrows.
