I would like to try up the river if I get time during the winter months for some crappie. I know I can run from the 66 ramp to the point by the golf course. Can anybody shed some light on how I can safely get the rest of the way there? I have been up there years ago, but I just idled from the golf course on up. Feel free to pm me if you’d like. Appreciate the help in advance.

Coach I would keep idling. That's a treacherous run if you're not familiar with the route. You can be off 10 yds. in either direction and get in trouble. I use to run it a lot but I wouldn't try it now. Lake levels make a big difference too. I'm guessing from the dams being open at Lavon the water is going to be pretty muddy too.
