Has worked well,no complaints.

I like a braid that is limber and goes through the eyelets easily.
SpiderWire Ultra cast is my favorite.
I can cast further with it, tie better knots and fewer issues with backlash.

I can usually find 300 yard spools of Proberos brand in the 5 dollar range, (and occasionally less) on ebay or gearbest. Sometimes you have to look around a bit. Assorted colors, Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, or Gray. Sometimes find the 500 yard spools of same in the 7 dollar range. Can almost always find free shipping, but it can take awhile for these items to arrive from China, 2 to 5 weeks.

If I needed something ASAP, I would go to Academy and get Procat. Comes in high vis green and is 7+ for a 150 yard spool.

I normally only use it in the surf, but on occasion I have used it in lakes as well. I've used kast king, magicshield, reaction tackle, spider wire, power pro, and probably others in anywhere from 6lb to 100lb. All of them have worked just fine for my applications. I prefer Amazon over ebay, mainly because of delivery time with Prime.

I too use the Ebay cheap Braid and have for years, but I spool my tournament rods with Team Catfish Tug O War 80# and 100#.
Let me offer this advice too on Braid.
If you/we are buying Ebay Braid, it is probably because we can get it really cheap.............meaning we "probably" have some cheap rods we "might" be using it on.
I have 8 Tournament Choice rods I use for punch bait in the summer. Why, because I like to see those channel cat slam the rod down and they really bend during the fight.
Never had a problem with one of those rods break either, but this is a Braid Topic.
What I am getting at is cheap rods usually have cheap guides, so just remember if you use Braid on cheap rods, it WILL dig into cheap plastic guides.
And I have 14 Meat Hunter and Rippin Lips rods with Stainless Guides that take Braid well, so just remember the guides when using Braid.
Hope this helps.

Good advice, this happened to me as well. I started getting cheap braid after breaking off a lot of power pro slick 8 braid after the cast. I didn't have a spooling tool so I spooled my reel with a phone book putting tension on the line & reeling. I did this many times but when I switched to cheap braid, a guide got cut and popped out of a rod I only use for spooling. The braid was Frwanf 50lb for a surf setup. I got 500m for 15 bucks on amazon. I have this on two reels now.

I have been buying Cabellas braid and have been pleased with it. I have tried the Chinese braid online but it breaks.
