The fishing has really been great. There have been days they have wanted the little size six Clouser. Most days size two has ruled the water though. The most trips in a row I�ve taken a broom stick eight weight. Really gives you the back bone to get the fish in fast with little stress before releasing them back home to the water. Using ten and fifteen pound invisix for tippet.

Very nice! I would have no problem using an 8 weight for the stripers. You never know when a really big one will visit. I use an 8 weight for all my bass fishing.

Nice fish. I�ve caught striper on the East coast, but haven�t been to any Texas striper water. The striper about that size would be in the surf there and went for super spooks, wish I had the fly rod with me then. An eight weight sounds good especially if you are slinging bigger, heavier clousers. No sense being undergunned for the bigger fish either.

Thanks guys. The eight is necessary but a hard hook set on an 8in sandbass will give them a flight right at your face lol. Definitely one of the best late fall early winter fishing I�ve seen in several years this year!
