there tends to be three groups of people at every weigh-in.....first group is the guys up near the stage waiting to get called up and get presented their checks....if you go look at their boats,there's usually several days of scum lines on the hull, and torn up plastics,spinner bait skirts etc lying in the floor.....second group of guys is out in front of the stage listening to the guys who won the checks and trying to separate the lying from the truth so they can do better next time...their boats aren't quite as messy/dirty as the first group......last group of guys is over in corner of parking lot wiping down and detailing the boat for the ride home...

the moral to this story is do you want to catch fish and cash checks or do you want to keep your boat in showroom condition.....it's very rare to be able to do both.....
