 Want to buy a chip. Garmin 54dv

Have a question.
I have been doing some research and on a certain chip it does not have my ff on the list. It could be that the chip is older and my ff is newer and not on the list or something else. The chip is a micro which mine would take. It is a garmin chip so it should work right?
I have never bought a chip so I was looking for a little advice. Thanks
To pass more on to my two kids than was passed onto me.

What chip are you looking at? Your FF will only read Garmin maps

I was looking at the Garmin chip for all North American lakes. I believe it was the 1050 or the 1073 chip. I know it is older but just dont have much money.
To pass more on to my two kids than was passed onto me.

It is a echoMap 54dv just for reference. I bought it a year ago and it has the G2 coastal installed. I was wanting something for some lakes and rivers.
To pass more on to my two kids than was passed onto me.

I dont know about that one Best to give Garmin a call tomorrow and check with them for sure
