Great post! This trip was in September? I had no idea trout survived year-round in the Blue, or did they start stocking early this year?

Ha. You led off with apologizing that the post was late so I thought it may have been from September. Makes more sense now.

Hi Capt. Mac. I've been looking at Headwaters rods and I am on their mailing list. I've received quite a few special offers but didn't know if I should pull the trigger on one or not. I want a bamboo rod. I had a good laugh when I got an Orvis catalog in the mail and told my wife I wanted one of their bamboo rods. Then I showed her the price($2600) and watched her face get 3 degrees redder and certain words which the bad word filter on TFF wont allowed fly from her lips.

I've saw one of your videos using a bamboo rod in a small creek and wondered about it.

There are two bamboo fly rods listed in the last couple days on the DFW Craigslist; do not know if they are good deals or not.

They are both WAY overpriced.
