Dont overthink Squaw. How do you like to fish? Do that. For real. You can catch fish on Squaw Creek on just about any technique during the cooler months. I will tell you though the guys who do even better fish deeper than most. Graph some deeper points and Creek Channels. But really, you can do whatever you like and catch some. Good luck and have fun. Oh, and DO NOT turn your lights off. Gives the lonely guys with no lives more to come on here and gripe about!

361V is right. Do what you like and don't think cold water. I caught 15 in 45 minutes on a black/blue chatterbait while my partner caught 4 on a yellow magic. Caught them on swim jig, jerkbait, A-rig, squarebill, deep crank, spoon and lipless crank that day. It slowed down after 10:00 and used soft plastics rest of day. 7" blue fleck power worm is a cheap staple out there. It is a great place to practice new things also. I threw a Tokyo rig the other day just to see how it worked compared to Texas rig. Wind blown banks are usually better than calm ones with moving baits.

leave headlights on, put truck in park on the ramp. leave running while you get out and unhook the winch. then crawl in slowly and ease your way to the drivers seat. look for the keys for a few minutes, then start the motor. let it sit and run until it warms up good. then gently back off the trailer and beach it on the ramp. now you can slowly crawl out of the boat and make your way to the truck. park the truck and take your time walking back to the boat. enjoy your day on the water

Dont forget you have to just dump your boat in, and have someone take you out there to it. Gotta be quick and seriously impatient out there!

In all the boat ramp bustle and non lighted conditions I got confused on this process last time out fishing solo and left my truck / trailer on the ramp thinking someone would park it for me and then take me back to my truck when I was finished fishing. (Has anyone seen my truck / trailer out that way?)

Maybe because its in my backyard or maybe just because I can only hear the same joke so many times and pretend they are witty and original and havent been told 1000 times......but thats funny right there!

Ah not to well. We had battery problems/ Ultrex dying on us. So pretty $hitty day to say the least! That was our first time out on Squaw so we hit the north part of the lake for 2 hours then went south and hit a main lake point before the trolling died completely. No fish, but we found bait and fish off the main lake point. Just the 14 mph wind got to us!

I went today for the first time. Very well organized place. I liked it. As for the fishing? It was different. Im sure the lake gets tons of pressure. I caught 18 bass and snagged one Tilapia. 16 of the bass were over 14, but none were bigger than 3 pounds. I caught two tiny ones on a drop shot.
Fish were above bait schools. Bait schools were balled up on points in around 12-15 ft. Bass were above them in 6-10 ft.
I will have to learn this lake better. Had fun though.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
