Just FYI, I sent Bass Pro Grapevine's management an email this morning requesting some basic carping gear be added to their inventory. Not sure if we want to launch a campaign or really even of it would be worth it, but in the event that you do want to follow up with them, you have now been notified that the first shot has been fired/refired/refried.

Looking for great carp places in/near Ft. Worth.

Carp fishing is too niche to really be of interest to them. If you've seen their tiddly catfishing section you know just how little they market to the "bait and wait" style fishermen. That, and they heavily promote bowfishing as it bolsters their archery and boat sales. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if BP was carp-friendly but it seems we'd be barking up the wrong tree.

Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp...

Never hurts to ask. It won't cost them anything to provide some of the basic items. However, I hear ya.

It's all about money. Bass Pro will always cater to the Bass Fishing Angler with Crappie,Catfish,Striped Bass, and Pan Fish in general following behind.

Totally Agree! Just about all of the major sporting good stores will cater the Bass Fishing Angler because it's the most popular of all game fish to catch. Bass fishing produces big money and big money controls what goes on sporting good store's shelves. breakdance

On line shopping is well worth not having to deal with trying to get something out of Bass Pro Shops, especially when it's not as profitable to them.

Just one more cast!
