I thought it was so ironic every time I go deer hunting I never see a thing . Not a turd , foot print , rub marks , NOTHING! When I’m working or something of that nature boom ! there everywhere. This was late afternoon in weatherford. They could of gave to chits how much noise I made or how much I moved around. How many can you count ?

They get educated real fast when they hear the first shot. Until then, they can get real close.
My cousin in Austin has them come up on their front porch and eat the flowers.

Enough of this idle chit-chat. This ain't no retirement home.

I’ve seen those out that way they crack me up. It’s like they know nobodies going to hurt them. They just lounge around in front yards and wander into traffic . There almost a nuisance from what the locals were telling me

Used to know a guy in Wimberly, outside of Austin and he said you couldn't have rose bushes- the deer came in at night and ate them all.

My golf course deer were out there tonight. I did not expect to see them this evening.

I walked outside with the dogs this morning and there were 4 does in the front yard. They just walked off and the 4 dogs just ignored them as usual.
Before deer season starts they are waiting at the feeder behind the house in the daylight, after season starts they come in just after shooting light fades or an hour after dark.

My BIL lives in Walden, by Lake Conroe. They are definitely a nuisance there. They will eat most flowers, especially azaleas. The bad part is the herd is in very poor health overall. They are stunted even smaller than hill country deer, and their coats look shabby and poor. I've seen 30+ lounging all together in an empty lot.

Argue all you want to, but not managing game in populated areas is a much crueler practice than hunting.
