the thread about the most unusual amenities in hotels/motels reminded me of the lousy motels I've stayed in since back in early 70's when I started tourney fishing....
anybody remember the movie "My cousin Vinnie" and the General Putnam motel....that motel is located in Eatonton,Ga. near lake Oconee and was remodeled for the movie....I had the misfortune of staying there back in the early 80's prior to them remodeling that dump....it was hot summertime and we had a club tourney on Oconee and I believe the only other motel was full so we were forced to stay inthis motel....A/C barely worked, shower stall floor was so greasy I almost fell down and to top it off in middle of the night,we heard this woman screaming and it turned out her baby was dying(the couple didn't have transportation so one of our guys took them to hospital where the baby died). most of us have similar stories from back in 70's and 80's because we didn't have much choice of motels near the lakes when tournament fishing was first getting started....The General Putnam in Eatonton,Ga. is the worst among many that I can recall...
Americas Best Value (hindu term for dump) in Milledgeville,Ga. is a close second....

Look up Dan Bell on Youtube. He does video reviews of nasty motels. His videos are hilarious.

Comstock Motel,Comstock Texas. The refrigerator had an extension cord from the room next door, floor was so level a golf ball would beat you to the other side. The hot water was colder than the cold side. But like my fishing partner said we were spending the night, not buying the place.

We used to stay at the Sandpiper motel in Galveston every year for spring break in the 90's. Total dump but it was cheap so it didn't use up much of our beer money. Hurricane Ike put it out of it's misery.

I dont remember the name of it, but some motel in Piedras Negras Mexico. I dont remember why we didnt just cross the border to eagle pass and get a room there. That hotel sucked. No AC, just a hot air blower. Had to get up and shower in the water that dribbled out of the pipe in the shower stall about once an hour just to cool off. Exposed wiring throughout. Good times.
Runner up is the Falcon Motel in Zapata that I mentioned on the other thread. Not much better than the room in Piedras. Someone had wired a tree shaped air freshener to hang in front of the window unit AC. No shower head. No towels provided (found out about that when I stepped out of the shower). Ive stayed there numerous times.
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

Forget what town it was in before it got torn down, but there was a place I stayed in the night before I moved into college freshman year called 40 Winks and it was a DISASTER.

Caldwell Motel in Caldwell Texas. My wife talked me into taking her to Austin to see Crusoe, the Dachshund, peoples Choice award winner and YouTube star. We got away from there at about 8 pm and thought we would get a motel near I-35 and 290. My wife decided that she did not like the looks of one motel, so we started driving and by the time we got to Caldwell I was beat. Stopped at the first motel which was the aforementioned. $35 per night and what a dump. The worst motel I have ever stayed in. Only a little electric heater that didnt work, so I went to the office and the night manager gave me hers. Took it back to the room only to discover it was the plug that was bad. Couldnt unplug the original heater because they had the cord tacked down. So nasty we were afraid to take a shower in the tub. By far the worst Ive ever stayed in. To make matters worse, when we left yesterday, a mile down the road there were two decent motels.

Tower Inn on 199 Sansom Park, back in the early 90's a group of us had gone to the stockyards to party, we got pretty lit but it was dead so we decided to roll, cruising down 199 we noticed John Nitzinger was jamming at the buggy wheel so stopped in, we proceeded to get hammered, upon leaving we were paranoid about the fuzz so pulled into the Tower, got 2 rooms and partied on until passed out. Next morning I wake up still drunk and confused as to where the hell I was, I wandered out into the motor court area and should've recognized the landmark signage but did not, so went back in and downed a couple hot beers and a few reds, wondering where my group was and where am I, 30 minutes later they show up, they had walked across the hwy for breakfast at Vivian Courtney's, had I walked out to the hwy I would've most likely recognized where I was at, the rooms were raunchy, walls stained yellow, green shag carpet all nastied up, and roaches mixed with roaches, all in all a great time and I highly recommend this place.

Holidome in west Tennessee.
It had been a very busy day.i had flown across the country and back. We pull into this motel in nowhere Tennessee. I was exhausted..and hungry.
I had my lunch and dinner with me. I had not had time eat all day. I figured a quick shower, eat...sleep. I loosened my tie,sat on the bed to see what was to eat. I opened the lunch box to explore...then something hit me. My butt was soaked. Not damp...soaked.
The maid had made up a wet bed.
Im certain stories are still told about the crazy pilot screaming at the front desk loud enough to echo thru the holidome...

Stopped at Microtel in Baton Rouge on way to Pensacola to stay the night. It had good reviews ......but it was populated with refugees from Katrina. It was a dystopian nightmare with obvious hooking, screaming kids running the halls, kids with sagging [censored] diapers in the hall, and the ground out front was covered in a solid 2 inch layer of butts. We left and drove on through to Pcola.

Somewhere down in Ingleside or Aransas Pass.
I got 75 a day per diem and found me a room for like 120 a week. Pocket the change.

The Cedars in Surfside or Pied Piper in Hamlin. Im pretty sure that the cedars is the one we stayed in that caught fire. I was still in high school then, and my family and I were staying there, I think we had a guide trip out of there for some reason. Dad was a state fire Marshall at the time, so he ended up helping the VFD chief determine the cause of the fire. Outlets werent ground protected if I recall correctly.
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

For me its a toss up between the Lake Country Motel in West Tawakoni, or the Days Inn in San Angelo. The lake country motel was decently clean, but the other clientele were not. I couldnt get more than 2 hours sleep at a time due to drug deals being made and people arguing. But, after all, its West Tawakoni, whats abnormal about that.
A good friend got us a good deal on rooms at the Days Inn in San Angelo during the Shannon sporting clay shoot one year. His company housed hands there and had a cheap rate. There was a guy on the floor above us pimping two young ladies and eyeballing our stuff. When we carried in all our shotguns for the night I think he got nervous. He was later arrested that night after he tuned up one of the ladies turning trucks. When I made my bed down, there was dried blood on the sheet, and there was also used soap in the shower.

Goodness. Too many to call out just one. The one on Toledo Bend with particle board beds, no heat and cracks in the exterior walls letting cold air in. The one just north of Lufkin that was so bad we left without even trying to get our money back. The one in Zapata that was outfitted NOTHING except a double bed with plastic over the mattress. There have been some great ones, too.

Back when I first started working on the road and had no money I stayed in a lot of pretty bad ones. The worst was in Claremore Oklahoma. The door would not lock or stay shut and I had to put a chair against it. The wind blew about 40 mph all night and it snowed. Woke up with the door clown open just enough to put a snow drift in the room. Plus I had several bedbug bites. It was a long night and the next night I sprung for a LaQuinta. Which was like staying in the Doubletree to me at the time.

Our plumbing did freeze one morning but they said that was the first time it had been that cold.

The Roma Inn, Roma TX in the mid-90s. Looked just like a seedy motel in a movie about drug addicts. Dirty bare concrete floor, just a twin bed and nightstand, a single bare 40-watt lightbulb hanging from a wire in the ceiling, one single hand towel and no soap in the bathroom. Was supposed to be there 4 nights while working on a contract in Roma. Spent one night and then drove back and fourth from a Motel 6 or something in Falcon the rest of the week.

Back in the days of real room keys- the Holiday Inn across from Love Field had a problem with hookers renting a room for one night, then keeping the key. They'd use the room for their 'business office' after that.

Americas Best in breckenridge. First room smelled and looked like someone rebuilt a Diesel engine in the floor. Window was broken and you could reach in and unlock the door. Second room same stay. Pulled the covers back to find short curly hairs on pillows and sheets. Went to Walmart and bought king sheets , sleeping bags and towels. Covered the bed with the sheet and slept in sleeping bags.

Alice Texas for work. Offered a chance to buy clothes in the parking lot then "how about some crack". Nasty dirty. Roaches. Horrible mattress. Noisy construction. It looked nothing like the pictures on our corporate web site. Booked it for two nights stayed only one. They said I couldn't get a refund. I told them I feel like leaving is better than any refund could be.

Maybe not the worst, However: In 1980, I was on the Marine One crew and we went to Mexico City with Pres. Carter. The State Dept. put us up at the Mexico City Hilton. Our rooms were on the 4th floor, and there had been a big earthquake a few weeks before. At the end of the hall, a crack about 3-4 inches wide ran up the side of the building. At the time, I didn't realize what I was looking at. But, years later, it kind of gives me the willies.
Enough of this idle chit-chat. This ain't no retirement home. EVERYONE! Get back to your oars. The Captain wants to waterski.

The Royal Inn, Greenville, Texas. Bugs, exposed wires, pretty sure someone killed themselves on the bed due to all the blood.
I didn't even attempt to sleep, packed right up and left.

there was a place even worse on Cedar Creek Lake, but we walked in took a look around and left. There were roaches everywhere, a cat litter box that was full. the floor was slanted big time, and the restroom was worse than a portapotty in summer at a chili eating contest.

The place Ratz mentioned on Cedar Creek was the worst. But, I was on a business trip back in the 90s and because of flight delays I had to stay overnight in Newark, NJ. The room itself was OK but there was a fence (about 8') all the way around the outside edge of the property and it had razor wire all across the top. Made going to sleep a bit difficult, trying to keep one eye open.

Back in the early 2000's I spent a winter in Costa Rica. Went on a week long trip with some buddies to Nicaragua. We stayed at a real dump for the first night. Can't remember the village. After a night of drinking rum at a local cantina, I had no trouble falling asleep on what was more of a pad than a mattress. Gunfire somewhere nearby throughout the night. Birds in the open roof woke me the next morning. The mattress was covered with cockroaches which were working on a pack of crackers which I had thrown on the adjacent pad. Would have bothered me more if I hadn't had a killer hangover.

We stayed at one in Mobile Alabama. We left New Orleans after walking the French Quarter thinking wed get out of town and find a place. Didnt see a thing until Mobile and the first thing the manager asked was, do you want the room by the hour or overnight? I shouldve just packed it in and moved on but we were exhausted. Bed was unmade when we opened the door. We slept in the chairs...

Ann's All Night Washateria and Motel at LOP. Got there late on a Friday evening before a tournament and all my partner and I wanted was a shower and good night's sleep. That was not to be. After a flip of the coin he got first on the shower and choice of bed. Had to remove a live scorpion before he could shower which was the first of many disappointments. Both single beds smelt of cigars and the mattresses were lumpy cotton. About 15 minutes after turning out the lights I heard a noise under my bed, turned on the lights and lo and behold a cat had set up residence under there and wasn't about to leave peaceably. After all that we both understood there wasn't going to be much sleep that night so we mostly just lay there in the dark waiting on the alarm to go off. Doubt/hope the place is not there anymore but if it is let this be a warning to you. Sleep in the back of your truck or boat or even in a tree but don't stay at Ann's All Night Washateria and Motel.

Said it looked like something out of a Mad Max/Escape from New York movie.

My worst three. I don't remember the names of them, because they were off brand/non chain motels
1. Driving back to Texas from SLC, Utah June 2000. Was feeling sleepy and couldn't make it to Amarillo, so I spent the night at some motel near the border. Small, cracked concrete building with no 90 degree corners. Home made wood door that looked like it was made out of wood pallets.
2. Galveston 1994. Should have known better, because as soon as I pulled into the parking spot, three strange women leaned on the hood of my car. Roaches everywhere in the room. Smelled like someone had just smoked five packs of Marlboro reds in the room.
3. Ogden, Utah February 2000. The motel backed up to some railroad tracks. Couldn't sleep with all the trains running, train whistles, train lights through the night.

Driving out to Tuscon we stopped in Midland to get a room. All the motels along I-20 were booked up. One place told us they had a sister hotel in town. He called and made sure they had a room and gave us directions. It was late and we were beat and needed to crash. We got to the place and the first thing I noticed was all the oilfield trucks in the lot. OK, no big deal, this is an oil town anyways. We check in and go to the room. Window unit barely putting out cold air, towel hung over the window on the side of the room. The door had about a half inch gap all the way around. Shower had a single bulb hanging down in it, no way were we going in there. Then, about that time, a train rolls by sounding like it's coming through the room. Look out the window with the towel on it and discover we are right next to a rail yard. The bed was just a full size so we knew it would be tight but figured we could make it work. Lay down and we both rolled to the middle of the bed in the canyon there. And every train that came by made it feel like the bed was moving across the floor like in an I Love Lucy episode.

Spent 7 weeks on a job in Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C. The rooms were spotless, they treated us like kings. The front desk was robbed at gunpoint 4 times before we left. I walked into the lobby just after the crooks had left the first time, there were about 8 people laying on the floor face down, I thought it was prayer or siesta time.

Recently stayed at the Cliffview at lake Whitney. The ceiling had mold on it and there was such a bad odor of Pine saw cleaner that it was nausiating. Then while watching TV apparently they gave a second set of keys out to these other guy's and they walked in on my wife and I. Oh and if that wasn't bad enough the road down to the ramp was so rough that I broke off my license plate holder on the boat trailer.

Jackson Hill Marina @ Rayburn circa 2001? Rented a cabin there in February. Inside walls were OSB sheathing that were mostly covered with mold, mildew and other assorted fungi. Heard "things" scurrying around in the room all night long. Never bothered to cut the light on because I just didn't want to know. At check-in the gal said to come by the "caf" for breakfast the next morning, so I did. Not sure what time it was but the sun was already up and it took almost a half hour to find someone to open the "caf" up. Ordered a sausage, egg, cheese biscuit sammich. What I got in return was a wad of cellophane with a watery, milky-yellow substance dripping on the floor. Had I attempted to eat it, pretty sure the biscuit woulda chipped a toof. Haven't been back since but I hear the place is better now.
Balboa Courts, Rockport circa '95? Was a "wild hare" trip the wife and I decided to take. Just loaded up and went down there with no plan or hotel reservation. Got to town about 10pm in the middle of an absolute turd-floater of a thunderstorm. Tried 3 or 4 of our "normal" places and they all claimed they were booked up. Decided we would just head on to Corpus but whipped in to Balboa for one last try in Rockport and they had a room available. Entering the room, it was hard to miss the broken door jamb that appeared to be the result of a break-in. Bottom corner of the door looked like a beaver had chewed its way in. First 3 or 4 feet of the floor was soaked from the blowing rain. Worst chili bowl bed I have ever seen...literally had to hook an arm or leg on the edge to keep from rolling toward the middle. LOL I somehow managed to fall asleep but was nudged awake by the wife to the sound of crackling cellophane. A mouse had found its way into her purse and was munching on one of her ever-present packs of saltine crackers. LOL
Most recently, this past April, wife decided she wanted to gamble on the way home from our trip up to Table Rock so we stopped in at the Choctaw casino in Durant, OK. Nice, big, fancy-schmancy looking place and rooms looked great on their webpage. Went in to get a room but since we weren't members of their "club" and didn't have any loyalty points or whatever they told us we couldn't get a room in the tower at the casino...they had rooms available there, but nooo. They booted us over to a dumpy, 2-story travel lodge looking thing across the parking lot from the nice place. Upon entering the room we were knocked over by the smell of wet dog and cig smoke. Went back to the counter and was told the previous guests did indeed have dogs and they would send someone to the room to "deodorize"? LOL Gal showed up with a spray bottle with some kind of pink juice in it and went to spraying...everything...floor, beds, walls, luggage. Now the room smelled like wet dog, cig smoke and bubble gum flavored windex. Went back to front desk and asked for another room. Next room smelled better so we decided we would shower, change and head over to casino for some action. Hopped in the rain closet, looked up and saw what I can only describe as ceiling titty quivering above my head. Plumbing leak above had stretched the latex paint on the ceiling into a big bag of water/sewage? The big, off-colored droplet of water waiting to drip off the bottom of the bag completed the mammary illusion quite nicely. Decided we would just do a quick "wipe down" with wash cloths at the sink rather than risk getting dumped on. Finally made it over to the casino and I dropped my budget inside of an hour but wife hit pretty good on a couple slots and ended up cashing out almost as much as we had spent on the trip. Decided we didn't want to give any back, grabbed our luggage and headed south back to God's country.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading

Back in high school my archery team made nationals in Louisville, KY. The hotel we stayed in had duct tape covering up cracks in the bath tub. The room next door they gave some of us was stuffed full of furniture. Should have came with a penicillin shot

I played tournament softball back in my younger days. Stayed at a place in OKC once for the state tourney. We had booked by phone (this was before internet) and it wasn't the cheapest place so we thought it was ok. We rolled in late Friday night to see an ambulance pulling away from the office. There was a huge puddle of fresh blood on the sidewalk right outside the office door. Since it was late we had no choice but to stay that night. One of our guys found a needle under the bed in his room. Another found a used condom in the sink. Me an another guy watched for about and hour as this chick went around knocking on doors. Every few rooms she'd go in for about 10 min and then be back out knocking on doors. Needless to say we found better accommodations the next day.

Can't remember what year it was but probably back in the nineties.. Me and a buddy decided at the last minute to run out to Amistad to fish some big open tournament.. Figured finding a crash site would not be a problem.. Wrong..
Of course we started at all the high class places like Lakeside, Lake view, Amistad Resort, (Or whatever it was called back then) Anglers inn.. But we got treated like Mary and Joseph and we started working our way back into Del Rio..
After exhausting all other options we pull into a place called the Desert Rose Inn.. Color TV in every room the sign said..
We walked in the office and as bad luck would have it, they had one room left.. $29.00.. [censored] Yeah.. We'll take it.. It was one of them times when a little more research would have been good.. But by that time of day I am sure I had already pulled a cork and I wasn't in the habit of inspecting motel rooms before I paid for one..
So we parked as close to the room as we could and I walked up to the door and stuck the key in the lock.. And the door pushed open without turning the key as there was no strike plate on the door jamb as it had been kicked in more times than a crack house..
And there was no color TV..
I went to the office to report the door problem and report the "No color TV"..
The first thing the "Manager" said as he shouted down the hall, was "Dammit Lupita, them Mother [censored] dons taken another TB.."
After returning to the room, I noticed several other problems.. The bed when turned down had a hole in the flat sheet the size of sack of deer corn.. And as it turned out there was only one bed.. There were no globes on any of the light fixtures.. and the only way you could turn the bathroom light on or off was screwing the bulb in or out.. There was only one handle on the faucet in the shower, (cold side) and not enough water would come out to get the shower head to drip.. And I wadn't about to sit down in that tub with more rust that a shrimp trawler at Corpus..
I lost the flip and decided I would sleep in the luxurious high backed chair that came with the room complimentarily..
I washed my sack with some cold water from the lavatory and climbed into the chair with my 357 on my lap and a kitchen chair propped against the door knob..
Not sure what time I got to sleep but I was awakened by screaming voices in the parking lot and squealing tires.. Followed shortly thereafter by flashing blue and red lights..
Not sure what time I got back to sleep, but about three thirty someone started trying to get the door open and I yelled out, "Get the [censored] away from that door or they're gonna have to pick you up with a spoon.."
At 4:00 am we were eating breakfast at some 24 hour greasy spoon on the west end of Del Rio..
I don't remember how we did in the tournament.. But it was the last time I went anywhere without a reservation..

On the outskirts of New Orleans I pulled in to a motel where the clerk was behind bullet proof glass. I looked around, and went on into the city and got ripped off for a $120 a night place with armed guards in the parking lot.
Enough of this idle chit-chat. This ain't no retirement home. EVERYONE! Get back to your oars. The Captain wants to waterski.

Clayton New Mexico, west side of town on the right side of the road as you're headed out, sign just says "MOTEL". Gross as all get out, in the middle of the night, one of the residents fell asleep with a cigarette in his hand and lit the mattress on fire. Had the whole FD come wake everyone up.
Another good one was the Howard Johnson on Jamaica Blvd in Queens NY. Don't ask how a bunch of adjusters from Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia ended up there but it was an experience for this ol boy.

Curiosity makes me ask, who is we ? Wasn't for instance someone you picked up in Del Rio was it ?

Wife made a reservation an an Economy Inn in Bossier City several years ago. Barksdale AFB was very close by as was a railroad track. Between the freight trains roaring by ant the B 52s landing on the roof it was a horrible night. Oh yeah, a bunch of drunk bikers were staying there and the ice machine was right by my room. I slept very lightly with my Kimber.

I was in a bass club for 5 years back in the eighties and went all over East Texas. I wish I could remember all of stories that went down including thefts, fights in hotel rooms adjacent to ours, keys that wouldn't work OR keys that did work that were not supposed to. These days I will not travel unless I've looked at some reviews on line but didn't have that luxury. We were on a September tournament once were I'm sure the temps were in the 90's. Had not gotten a room a head of time but were just staying one night in Texarkana to fish Wright Patman. Got with our bass club guys and followed them to the place they were all staying. A small clean looking place but it was booked. Not only that but the office was locked up with a sign saying " be back in ..........." We headed off not knowing where to look. Finally found a place that looked like it had been built in the 1950's and looked kind of like a nursing home as it was spread out and one story. It was dark by then and after going inside let me just say we were the only people of our race there as there were maybe 15 people hanging around in the lobby. We got our room and it was bareable.....we think. The drain on the tub would not drain and rusty water came back up in the tub. Could not do the shower. Nope no way. The room was barely cool maybe 80 or so. There was air coming out of the vent but not true A/C. Thermostat was cold/hot. We put the mattress on the floor to get a little bit cooler and be able to sleep. We had brought ALL of our tackle in the room. No way we'd leave it out. Had ice in our built in cooler in the boat with supplies for the next day. Around noon on tourney day we went for our drinks, bologna, cheese slices, mayo etc. The only thing in there was two waters! Everything else was gone. Lunch was a slice of bread and potato chips we had in another box they had missed.

Inn of Jefferson in Jefferson, TX. Definitely the nastiest I've ever stayed in, but it was a port in a storm when I needed it.

Been in some dives on Amarillo Blvd for an hour at a time. Doesn't mean they weren't bad times.

When Lake Fork first opened up, anything resembling 4 walls and a roof was being rented out as luxurious accommodations. Put as many bunk beds as they could cram in there and claim it would sleep 8. Hot water was a big plus back then!

Slept on top of the bed cover, because I wasn't about to open up the bed to see what was under the cover. Absolutely filthy and had a hole at the base of the floor where it looks like animals had been going in and out.

The other side of the coin is that I stayed in a shady Motel 6 on IH 35 because the had a couple of unguarded dumpsters.Over a couple of nights I filled a dumpster with the abandoned [censored] from a rent house. Probaly 10 pickup loads including about a ton if car parts until they caught on.

back in early 90's had a tourney on lake Jordan and stayed in a motel in Wetumpka,Al...believe it was called the Wetumpka Inn and was owned by an older indian couple that barely spoke englishwhen I checked in the woman was trying to tell me not do something and making these wiggling motions with her hands....she motioned me to come outside and follow her around back and she pointed to a fish cleaning sink and I think what she was trying to tell me was to not clean fish in my room.... it was typical dimly lit Indian owned motel room....40 watt light bulbs don't burn as much electricity or allow you to see dirt as well or how worn the furniture etc is... next morning when I'm getting my stuff out of room,I notice the lamp beside bed is flickering on and off.. looked under the table and noticed the lamp didn't have a plug....somebody had just skinned the wires back and stuck them in the socket and scary part was there were black scorch marks up the wall above the plug.....I snatched the wires out but nobody was up in the motel office yet plus I figured they already knew about it and I would be wasting my time telling them about it... when I got back home,I called the Wetumpka city hall and got ahold of a guy in the code inspection office and told him what I had seen and my concern was somebody could get burned up....he seemed appreciative of the call and promised to check situation out....

We stayed at the Flagship Hotel in Galveston about 20 years ago. It looked great from the road as it was built on a pier out over the Gulf. Unfortunately it was in its dying days., The place was lacking from zero maintenance for several years. It was clean, but just completely worn out. We did not get much sleep as our room was next to the elevator and there did not seem to be any insulation in the walls. The elevator was constantly in action the entire night. I just researched the hotel & it was demolished in 2008. There was a family in the room above us & the kids were fishing from their balcony. They were reeling fish in quite regularly. Another time I went with my parents to Galveston when I was about 8 years old. My mother talked about the size of the roaches there until the day she died.

Galveston Flagship Texas City Inn (had once been a nice Holiday Inn in a previous life) Any of the America's Best Value hotels would likely fit this category from my experience...

Little motel right off the highway in Van. The door had been kicked in and the frame was sloppily repaired and barely hanging on. The bed had been made but there was blood on the sheets, walls AND CEILING. There were dead bugs in the chair and some sketchy looking fellows walking around outside. I said nope and took my gal back to the truck. Went into the office to get my money back and the owner refused. I showed him all of the pictures I had already taken on my phone and told him they would be sent to the health inspector, local news and all over the internet if he didn't give me my money back. He tried switching me to another room over and over but he finally gave in when I said I am done and went to walk out. Didn't make it a half a mile before I got pulled over... expired inspection. Idiot me.
Drove on and stayed at one of the nicest Holiday Inn's I had ever seen somewhere around Tyler. Can't really remember but, the bar downstairs was really nice.

Enough of this idle chit-chat. This ain't no retirement home. EVERYONE! Get back to your oars. The Captain wants to waterski.

Dont think thats about the one yall are talking about but quality music....My worst was Royal Inn in George West, Tx. Went to work utility relief after hurricane Harvey. It was the closest thing with a roof and power that wasnt already full that they could find on short notice, and Im pretty sure this guy running the place only opened it for crews like us, fortunately it was only for a few days as we got to move closer to the coast as power started being restored to other areas.

Sunnyside Glen on cedar creek. By far my worst. Glad its torn down. Yep I stayed there for a fishing tournament, The trailer I stayed in had large hole in the bottom of the floor, I had a herd of cats come in and sleep in the bed with me one rainy night. Glad they tore that dump down. That was I now call Cedar Creek, Speeder Creek.....
