Had our second meet up last night and instead of everybody bringing a bottle, we chipped in for a good one. We found this Bottle of Dalmore King Alexander III for $300. It was one of 2 bottles in the state of Oklahoma so we jumped on it. I will say it was worth the money but not something I'm going to be buying more of anytime soon at the price point. Everything about it was great, from the first smell to finishing taste. I still have about 3 oz after splitting it and tasting. We'll see how long it lasts lol.

One of my buddies had to bring a little extra. We were going to save this bottle for the next meetup but had to break into it before the night was over. I've never been a huge fan of Johnnie Walker but I could get used to drinking this.

Next month is all about budget bottles. Nothing over $35. What's good? I'm wanting to go for a bourbon this time around

Not exactly budget priced, but there is a little distillery over in Claremont, KY with a product I enjoy.

Its named Jim Beam Black.

I was at the liquor store yesterday getting X-mas gifts and came across some Johnnie Walker Blue Primrose. I had never heard of the stuff before. I thought Blue was their top of the line, but at $2600 a bottle for the Blue Primrose, apparently not.

haha I hear that. I'm no expert by any means. Half the time I don't even know what flavors I am tasting. But I'm at least trying to pay more attention to all the details and learn the differences. Definitely more of a hobby now than just drinking.

It's not on the list but I like Rowan's Creek a lot and it falls in that range of $35.
